Trena Matos-Ambroise

Board Director


Trena Matos-Ambroise is a professional Community Organizer with over 30 years experience. She was a co-founder of the Hemenway Tenants Alliance in Boston, and a Chairperson and fundraiser for The Million Man March. Trena is a cofounder and current board member of Redefining Our Community Organization (ROC), where she served as president for 15 years. ROC is a nonprofit civic association made up of volunteer residents and home owners who mobilize to resolve and enhance issues that affect daily quality of life in Dorchester.

Trena is an alumna of Kentucky State University. She is a steward at the future Boston Food Forest Coalition parks on Norfolk Street and on Mascot Street in Dorchester. Trena enjoys creating grassroots events that bring people together outdoors in the fresh air.
